Wondering what to do in Puerto Rico? The top activity in San Juan is a snorkeling and picnic cruise.
There are so many ideas of what to do in Puerto Rico, but the one that most visitors to this Caribbean island enjoy the best is a snorkeling and picnic cruise. Most every island in the Caribbean has several snorkeling and picnic cruises and having done this myself I can say it is certainly a great way to spend the day when on a tropical island. Part of the reason most people travel to Puerto Rico is to get away from it all for a few days and nothing gives you that feeling more than a snorkeling and picnic cruise to a deserted island.
You will be picked up at your hotel and brought to the catamaran where you will set sail on your adventure of the day. You'll be able to relax as you gently sail along through the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Soon you'll see the island destination over the horizon where as Tommy Bahama likes to say, RELAX!
Once you set foot on the sugary white sand beach you will be able to take your towels and find a quiet spot where you can have the whole beach to yourself, no tourist crowds here, just the gentle sound of the waves.
You can take a dip when you get hot, and even snorkel around some coral reefs to look for tropical fish. My wife and I just did this last summer and nearly every time we went out we saw a sting ray and turtle, not to mention the beautiful fish.
When lunch time comes along feast on a delicious meal prepared by the crew along with a pina colada or rum punch. Lunch will be followed up by more sunbathing, swimming, beach combing and anchoring out over a coral reef for more snorkeling.
Now that you have sufficiently decompressed to island time, it's time for a relaxing sail back where you will be driven back to your hotel for the evening. Sounds like the perfect day to me! No wonder this is the most popular activity of what to do in Puerto Rico.
The popularity of the Puerto Rico Snorkeling and Picnic Cruise means it can book up quite a ways in advance so it's a good idea to go to Viator.com to check for availability, discounts and get your trip booked today!
